"Through Your Eyes"
Park Ambulance Service (PAS) has embarked on a project titled, "Through Your Eyes". It has been developed to reduce eye injuries worldwide while helping the environment and we need your help.
Like many companies we supply our staff with new safety glasses as they require them. However the used glasses usually end up in the trash. Well with our program we will get these recycled so that they can be used in countries where they are not readily available due to cost such as Angola, Bangladesh, Burkina Faso, Cambodia, Cameroon, El Salvador, Ghana, Haiti, the Ivory Coast, Liberia, Mexico, Pakistan, Peru, Samoa, Tanzania, Togo, and Zambia.
We will also take and recycle hearing aids, soft eyeglass cases, reading glasses, prescription eyeglasses, non-prescription and prescription sunglasses.
Our goal is to collect 100,000 pairs of safety glasses and then have them recycled and redistributed around the world to those who cant afford them.
In order to achieve this PAS has partnered with the Canadian Lions Eyeglass Recycling Centre, who since 1996 has collected approximately 4 million pairs of glasses and has distributed over 2.8 million, bringing sight to those in the greatest need.
All the donated glasses are carefully examined, sanitized, hand dried, inspected and repaired where necessary. Perscription glasses are then read and placed into ziploc bags and packaged for distribution.
It is estimated that 1/10th of the population in developing countries needs glasses. This need is put at more than 50 million people.
For more information on project "Through Your Eyes" and how you can help us reach our goal please contact Dean Constantini at 1-800-661-1133 or by email at dconstantini@parkambulance.com .
Don't throw away someone's chance for a safer and clearer tomorrow.

Launch of the new Park Ambulance Service Ltd. website!
August 2009
With the current slowdown in industry Park Ambulance has taken time to update our corporate strategy, give our company a face lift and look at reducing operating costs while maintaining our high level of service and our mandate to keep workers working. As part of our facelift we are pleased to announce our new logo – a combination of the old Park Ambulance coupled with a new fresh look moving us into the future:
We understand that some potential clients may be looking for us as PAS Industrial Medics. In order to meet that demand we can also now be found at www.pasindustrialmedics.com.
In addition to our Head Office in Calgary, we also maintain operational bases in Grand Prairie, Saskatoon and Vancouver
Our newly designed paperwork and kit list now makes us more efficient while still exceeding regulations and is designed to be deployed in any province or territory quickly. Our fleet of 4x4 MTCs are CMVSS compliant and are capable of handling two patients. They are also fully equipped with both base and hand-held radios, cell phones, tow rope, jumper cables and more to meet the demands of the environments we work in.
Our staff of highly professional EMRs and EMTs are registered with the Alberta College of Paramedics and some maintain registration in other parts of the country as well. Our OFAs meet the strict requirements of EMP Canada and WorkSafe BC, and fully retrain and recertify every two years making them compliant in most provinces and territories. Our three physicians continue to be registered in any area in which we are working.
